The Hanover Rotary Club brings together concerned citizens in fellowship to provide humanitarian services in the community, encourage high ethical standards, and help build goodwill in the world. The Hanover Rotary Club meets to socialize once a week under the motto "Service Above Self." A major portion of Club time is spent arranging and implementing service projects intended to benefit residents of the Upper Valley and the wider world. What are the expectations of Members in the Hanover Rotary?
Hanover Rotary strives to encourage active, engaged members, but recognizes that Members can contribute toward the Club's activities in a variety of ways and the demands of their occupations and families require flexibility. Thus, participation requirements are viewed as goals. Three examples of Members who are fully engaged include:
  • First, attend 50% of meetings and participate in five hours of service.
  • Second, attend a dozen meetings a year and participate in 15 hours of service.
  • Third, participate in 25 hours of service, and receive credit for one hour of service for each meeting attended.
