"People of Action!" - this is a phrase often used to describe Rotarians. Hanover Rotarians certainly fit this description: Every week an interesting meeting and always service  projects in the works.

If you missed last week's meeting, you missed Featured Rotarian of the Week Mike Urnezis sharing how his father inspired him to be involved in service projects and,  importantly, how to pronounce his last name (hint: you probably can't mispronounce it). Also, Mascoma Bank CEO Clay Adams described his efforts to organize businesses to invest in addressing the housing crisis.

THIS WEEK At ROTARY

As always, the meeting begins promptly at noon on Wednesday at Jesse's. Our speaker this week will be Susan Apel, a freelance arts reporter and Vermont Law School professor.

IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW

Hanover Rotary has a track record of being a major force for building quality of life in our community. It's fun! Get in on the action. Here are some opportunities for you to help:
  • Bruce Atwood is organizing the Auction/Gala coming up in November. Contact Bruce and ask how you can help!
  • Rob Williams is organizing bell ringing for this November and December. Contact Rob and ask how you can help!
  • Jed Williamson is leading our youth programs. Contact Jed and ask how you can help!
  • Greg Bazylewicz is leading our second annual "Stuff-a-Truck" initiative to benefit Cover. He'd welcome assistance: reach out to him and volunteer (I expect he'll be a greeter at an upcoming meeting)!
  • Every week we need people to greet and collect money at our meetings. Sign up here:
