HAPPY HOLIDAYS
Welcome to your late breaking bulletin. Please excuse some formatting issues...still learning and this is going out, imperfections and all! I managed to add more photos, but in the process, I couldn't delete the my commitments section at the bottom. Oh well, volunteerism doesn't bring perfectionism. Read on.

Rotary Bulletin

Good Morning Hanover Rotarians and friends,

As you can see from the photos, we've kicked off the Bell Ringing, with a get together Friday night before the Tree Lighting and lots of ringing in front of Town Hall on a busy Friday night. Thank you to Rotarian Greg Bazylewicz for bringing some of the Handel Society to sing and to the many Rotarians who bundled up and rang the bells. We're hoping every member of the club will help in some way. To sign up
(bring a friend if you'd like), here is the link:

Or you may contact Rob Williams at Robwiliams962@gmail.com to find out where the need is greatest or get help with signing up. Can't thank Rob enough for leading the team in our biggest fundraiser of the year.

As you know, the Byrne Foundation increased their gift to $25,000 but we need to match it. Please think about all that Rotary means to you, and give generously. You may send a check payable to Hanover Rotary Charities to P O Box 381 Hanover, NH 03755. Better yet, bring it to the meeting this Wednesday, December 11 at 11:45 at the Paganucci Room at '53 Commons.

Our speaker is Charlie Wheelan, nominated for Smartest Guy in the Room but still Down to Earth ( editor's privilege to nominate). A bit from Charlie's bio: Wheelan is a senior lecturer and policy fellow at the Rockefeller Center at Dartmouth College. He joined the Dartmouth faculty fulltime in June of 2012. He has been selected as one of Dartmouth’s ten best professors by three different graduating classes. He teaches courses on education policy, health care, tax policy, income inequality, and related topics.

Thank you Liam McCarthy for bringing another great professor to speak to us. We get to enjoy a terrific meal at a good price, spend time with old friends and new, there is no test, no paper, just show up - it's PASS/FAIL.

Because we meet on the second and fourth Wednesday of the month, this happens to be our one and only meeting in December.

At our most recent meeting, the day before Thanksgiving, President Bob Haynes presented some club business and we heard from Hanover High graduate John Fenley. John is a founder and Community Outreach Coordinator for Spark! Community Center.  Spark! is an important organization based in Lebanon whose vision is to create a safe and welcoming place where adults with special needs, their families and caregivers, and caring members of the Upper Valley community can come together and take part in fun and educational activities.

Wishing you all a happy and healthy holiday season. Hope to see you Wednesday.
