Kevin Wenger began his term as club president last week and we were reminded of the great contributions of Hanover Rotary: hundreds of thousands of dollars raised for local and international charities, community building activities like pancake breakfasts and barbeques, scholarships and programs for Hanover High School students, and educational meetings -- to name a few. Kevin said his goal for the coming year is to relaunch the auction and gala, and engage all our members in accomplishing goals that we all support.

HANOVER ROTARY MAKING A DIFFERENCE
  • On July 4 we marched in the parade and then sold out all our hot dogs, hamburgers and cold drinks on the Hanover Green. Thanks Rotarian Denise Dahlberg for your leadership!
  • On July 9 we replenished and cheered bikers for the Prouty fundraiser by staffing a SAG stop at Dartmouth Skiway. Thank you Rotarian Jim Bonney for your leadership!
THIS WEEK At ROTARY
Our meeting will start promptly at noon on Wednesday at Jesse's. Our speaker will be, Lara Litchfield-Kimber, the new Executive Director at Montshire Museum.

IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW
  • Rotarian and president-elect Bruce Atwood has begun soliciting donors for the Auction/Gala. We have a matching grant for $75,000, but we need to raise another $75,000 to earn it. Bruce reports he will soon be circulating a list of potential donors and asking for help in reaching out to them for donations.
  • We are looking for a Rotarian to step up and lead for bell ringing in November and December.  We've been supporting Listen's fuel assistance program for about twenty years and each of the last two years we raised $25,000 or more.
  • We are looking for a co-leader to help Jed Williamson with the Youth Committee. The Youth Committee oversees the speech competition, RYLA and youth exchange programs for Hanover High School.
  • We are looking for someone willing to serve as club president for the 2024-5 term.
  • We would like Rotarians to sign up in advance to greet folks and collect their money as they arrive at our weekly meetings. It's easy and fun! Sign up here:
